Psychotherapy

The choice to begin therapy is an important decision in your life or your child’s life. At Trinity, we ensure that all of our therapists are highly trained to provide you with a positive experience in learning to cope with life’s challenges so that you can look at life’s experiences in a more functional and fulfilling way.

All of our therapists are trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).

There are many possible causes for stress in life, but when an individual is unable to cope with distress, they may experience unexplained difficulties academically, their social interactions can become complicated, and their overall well being can be affected.

Our training in CBT, ERP, and REBT allows us to operate on the premise that your thoughts and beliefs influence your emotions and subsequently, your behaviors.  By helping you alter the way you think about situations, you can learn to cope and behave in a way that can help you to achieve a sense of security in uncertain times.

In therapy, we work with people from childhood through early adulthood to manage challenges related to Depression, Anxiety, life transitions, body image issues, coping with secondary effects of Brain Injuries, Autism, chronic illness, and other difficulties that affect your well being.  We provide a warm, supportive approach to help you work through these difficulties so that you can take steps towards feeling like “you” again.

In addition to standard therapy sessions, we are also in the process of recruiting for group therapy and support groups aimed at helping new and expecting moms, those in helping professions, and parents of children with special needs.
