The choice to begin therapy is an important decision in your or your child’s life. At Trinity, we ensure that all of our therapists are highly trained to provide you with a positive experience in learning to cope with life’s challenges so that you can look at life’s experiences in a more functional and fulfilling way.
All of our therapists are trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), which is a specific, evidence based form of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
There are many possible causes for stress in life, but when an individual is unable to cope with distress, they may experience unexplained difficulties academically, their social interactions can become complicated, and their overall well being can be affected.
Our training in CBT and REBT allows us to operate in the premise that your thoughts and beliefs influence your emotions and subsequently, your behaviors. By helping you alter the way you think about situations, you can learn to cope and behave in a way that can help you to achieve a more fulfilling life.
In therapy, we work with people from childhood through early adulthood to manage challenges related to Depression, Anxiety, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, body image issues, coping with secondary effects of Brain Injuries, Autism, chronic illness, Gender Dysphoria, and other difficulties that affect your well being. We provide a warm, supportive environment to help you work through these difficulties so that you can take steps towards feeling like “you” again.
In addition to standard therapy sessions, Marina Goldenberg, LAC, also leads our Managing Motherhood Support Groups to provide support to new and expecting mothers. In these groups, Marina works to promote self-care, your relationships with yourself, your spouse, your baby and your family, learning about your changing identity, parenting and co-parenting, coping with stress and challenging emotions, tools for managing worry/sadness, and how to recognize if you need additional help or support.
